What happens to your files
This is a self-hosted deployment. Every conversion runs on the server that served you this page. Nothing is forwarded to a third-party service, and no external API sees your documents.
How long files are kept
- Your uploads are deleted as soon as the job finishes — successfully or not. They are never kept after the work is done.
- The result stays available for 1 hour so you can download it, then a scheduled sweep removes it.
- A failed job has its files removed immediately.
Passwords
A password you type into Protect PDF or Unlock PDF is used for that one job and is never written to disk or into a log. Nobody, including whoever runs this server, can recover a document once you have encrypted it and forgotten the password.
What is logged
Ordinary web server request logs, plus an error line when a job fails. Neither contains the contents of your files. Filenames may appear in an error message shown back to you.
Current limits
- 100 MB per file
- 250 MB per job
- Up to 50 files in one job
